Hello friends! TNEGA has developed and released a new software under the scheme of providing Rs. 1,000 as an incentive to female students studying in government schools and colleges.
Moovalur Ramamirtham Ammaiyar Scheme – What is the ₹1000 Scholarship?
You will know the complete information about how to use that software, who can apply for that online application, what the eligibility for it is, and what documents are required for those who miss the first phase to apply in the second phase without missing it.
Let’s go to our subject today. This Moovalur Ramamirtham Ammaiyar Higher Education Assurance Scheme is a scheme that is called by many names, like women’s education, ” “innovative women,” etc. So, we have been informed about it by many names. It has come into effect. Every month, they are giving Rs. 1000 to female students studying in colleges.
This came; the first phase came; the government came and completed it. Now the second phase has come and done it. So they have released new software for this. So from now on, this software is going to be in practice. So what is it? How do you apply? We will continue to see who is going to use it.
Eligibility for Moovalur Ramamirtham Ammaiyar ₹1000 Scholarship
Next, we will see what the eligibility is for this. That is, we will see what basic qualifications the student should have to get this scholarship. So, no matter which educational institution you are studying in now, all the classes you studied in school from class six onwards must be in government schools; that is, you must have studied only in government schools.
Government School Requirement for the Scheme
That is, if you say that I have studied up to 8th and I have done another technical course, you should have studied in a government school from 6th to 8th. If you say that I have studied up to 10th and now I am studying in ITI or diploma, you should have studied in a government school from 6th to 10th.
Gap Year Students and Scholarship Eligibility
If you say that I have completed 12th and now I am studying in an arts and science college, or I am studying engineering, or I am studying for an MBBS, that means that all your school classes from 6th to 12th should be in government schools only. There should be no government-aided schools or anything like that; you should have studied in government schools only from 6th to that particular class.
I have a gap year; I did not study for one year while I was studying in school, or I had a one-year break between school and college, or I had a one-year break between college and college, so if you asked if they could also apply, they also have a chance in this new software. But you will have to tell the nodal officer in which district, in which school, and in which academic year you studied.
So the first condition is that you should have studied in a government school. You should not have studied in an aided school, management school, public school, matriculation school, or any other such school. You should have studied from class VI to that particular class only in government schools. I have a break; I have a break in college, And I have a break in school, but you can definitely benefit from software, this software. So this is the eligibility, the basic eligibility that that girl should have, that student should have.
If you saw what was next, if you saw how they paid in the first stage, through a website like https://www.tnsocialwelfare.tn.gov.in/ta, the candidate, that is, the student, would go online and fill in all the relevant details. They filled in all the details, including the school they studied in and the year they studied in. Similarly, they filled in all the details, including their bank details. Next, this will come, and then you will have to go to your social welfare department for verification. So, this will come to every place and will be pending for approval.
That is, after filling all her details, the student will go to the First Education Department. Then, they will verify whether this girl has studied in this school or not. Next, it will move to the bank. As soon as it is moved to the bank, they will check that her account details, Aadhaar number, and name are correct, and they will approve it.
Only after both of these are approved will the application come to the social welfare department. Only after they check and approve it will the girl’s bank account change. This is the first-phase application. This is how the money has been spent so far. If you have seen all those who received money in the first phase, they have received it like this.
Now, if you had asked what the new design of the second phase is, now that girl or that candidate, that student, cannot go anywhere and apply individually. In return, what the Tamil Nadu government has done is that a nodal officer selected in those educational institutions has taken all the responsibility for this and has come and made it clear that whatever needs to be done for that girl and that student to get the scholarship they need, the government has come and made it clear.
How to Find Your EMIS Number for the Scheme
So now that nodal officer comes to you and asks for a few details, and says that you have given it, he will fill that form in your presence. So now, no students can do it. Only a nodal officer in those educational institutions is going to do it for you. So now if you see what the new software is going to do, you will have to log in using the user ID and password that the nodal officer gave you and get your EMIS number, right? They would have given you a number by saying EMIS when you came to the school. They will enter that number first.
Immediately after you make the entry, your school education department will fetch your name, date of birth, address, gender, religion, and other basic information. So this is the first step they will do. Next, they will enter your Aadhaar number. You will immediately receive an OTP after making the entry. As soon as that OTP arrives, all the details like your photo, your name, your address, your date of birth, etc.
Bank & Aadhaar Linking for Moovalur Ramamirtham Ammaiyar Scholarship
from your Aadhaar will be fetched and brought back. what will they do next to confirm that these two details are the same person? It will fetch your bank account details from the bank account linked to your Aadhaar number. So, if you say that all these three are okay and everything is correct and submit, that application will come and be submitted.
this is a completely automated software, a very simple software that everyone can use. Now, DNEGA has prepared it and is going to bring it live from today to November 1st. So, those who did not get it in the first phase, you can apply in this second phase and get it. Similarly, even if you are exempted from that, if you come to me in the first phase, can you apply anew? The Tamil Nadu government has made all the arrangements for you to get the scholarship from now on through your nodal officer, through the nodal officer in your colleges, and in your institutions.
how will this be approved? When will you get the money? You may have a question. So, this is also the same as the old method. Your nodal officer comes and confirms all those details, verifies them, and submits them. He only submits the application to you. It will go back to the School Education Department. They will also check it, verify it, and approve it.
Similarly, do you have the same details in your bank? After they verify it and submit it, and after it is approved by your social welfare department, the money will arrive every month in your bank account that you have linked with Aadhaar. So, this is how the approval will happen.
how do I get an EMIS number? If you have seen that, it will be in your school record or in your marks sheet. It will be in both; you can check it and tell your node officer. No, I don’t know the EMIS number, but even if I say that, they have given me that option on the website itself to find it.
in the same way, there will be a few people who say that I did not have an EMIS number when I was studying in 2014-15. Because EMIS was a software that came and brought it in 2017–18. Before that, everyone who studied did not have an EMIS number. So, this software has been designed in such a way that they and those students will benefit from it.
That is, whatever details are fetched in the EMIS number, all those details will be entered manually by that nodal officer. That is all the difference. If they say that they had an EMIS number, they will bring it from the school department. If they say that it is not like that, this student should tell them the information that is fetched correctly.
My name; their address; their home address; which school they studied; which year they studied; and which academic year they studied—all that information will come and be as they say. So if you say that you are in that category, then you should know that information as a basis.
what should I have done as a prerequisite for me to get this? We will see what those students have done. Because if you say that you have done all this, you will get an easy amount. So first, as we said before, you must have eligibility. You must have attended those specific classes and studied in a government school.
you must know the EMIS number. Even if you do not know it, the software has provided a facility to search for it. So you must have known that the EMIS number is like that. Next, you must have a bank account. You must have an account in these four banks, as the government has said.
That is, you must have an account in at least one of these four banks. State Bank of India, Canara Bank, Indian Bank, Indian Overseas Bank. In any of these four banks, the bank account number must be in your name; that is, in the individual name of the student. There should be no joint account or mutual account or anything like that. You must have an individual account. It may not be in any of these four banks, but it must be within these four banks.
Your Aadhaar number must be linked to that bank account. The money will only go to the bank account linked to this Aadhaar number. So definitely open an account in one of these four banks. If you have already opened one, go and link your Aadhaar number to it immediately. Or even if they say that you don’t have a bank account, immediately approach one of these four banks and open an account immediately. So whatever you do, your Aadhaar number should be linked to your bank account. This is the second one.
If you see what you have chosen, the important thing is that your phone number should be in your Aadhaar; that is, the cell phone number of that individual student should be in it. This is also a very important condition. It should not be her mother’s number, her father’s number, her brother’s number, her husband’s number, or anything like that. The cell phone number of that student who is studying in college should be linked to her Aadhaar number.
If you say that you have all three of these in your hand, the government will make arrangements for you to receive the money in the next few months. If you miss any of these, your application will be put on hold, and then you will not be able to submit it later, and then it will be late for you to receive the money.
these are the basic requirements. You must have a first issue number, and then you must have an account in one of these four bank accounts, and that too in your personal name and in the name of the student. You must have linked the Aadhaar number to that bank. Next, you must have linked the student’s personal phone number to your Aadhaar. If you say that you have all three conditions, you will receive the money very quickly. The software itself has been designed using this; it is very, very simple software.
Similarly, if a student comes and says that she is completing her college studies, that is, she is completing her second year, there will be a button on their online software that says ‘stop,’ and if she says that she has given it, the money will stop going to that student for that month. So, there is an option for this in that software too.
Checking Application Status for the ₹1000 Scholarship
How can you check the status of the next application? That is, you can check the status of the application in two ways. One is that the institution itself has an option to log in and check the status of the application. Then you can check the status of the application, depending on what stage it is at. If you look at the official site, the individual, the applicant, The student can go and give their phone number, get the OTP, log in, and check their application status. They say that there are two ways to check the application status.
Every year, this online software comes, and the Tamil Nadu government opens it only for a specific number of days to get these welfare schemes. During that time, those educational institutions come and provide all the help they need to get this scholarship to the students who are studying in the golden educational institutions. Maybe they set up an Aadhaar camp and link it to them, or they ask the bank to set up a camp and get their account ready.
All this comes from the educational institutions, and they come and do it for them along with the districtadministration, and they have given an announcement for that. If you have seen the training for this, that is, how to apply this to these educational institutions, if you have seen all the training, our e-District e-governance managers have provided training to all the educational institutions district-wise.
- Learn how to register for the e-Shram Card online.
- Explore the benefits of the Tamil Nadu Skill App.
Because of all the e-services that we can get today, all the online services in the district, which have come and been implemented with the Tamil Nadu government, we have done all this service. So if you have ever seen the technical support or back-end support for this, our e-District managers have come and done it.
So now if you say that you do not know that EMIS number, let’s see how to find it. So, if you say that you have seen that EMIS, then on that official website it will say ‘Know Your EMIS.’ So click on it. Immediately after clicking on it, you will be shown where that EMIS number is on your tenth or twelfth marksheet.
in case I don’t know how to confirm this, if it says so, you will see this ‘Know Your EMIS’; click on this button. Click on it and select which district is your district; if you know which block in it, select it; otherwise, leave it. Select which school was the last one studied, which government school was the last school you studied in. Select it and give your date of birth, Aadhaar number, student name, and so on. If it says so, you will get that EMIS number, and it will be shown to you from here.
So I don’t know if it’s confirmed; I’m just giving a dummy. So no data is required. If you give your correct details, then you will definitely get those details, and your EMI number will definitely come to you. So through this, you can get your EMI number and know it.
